Set up monitoring

Follow these steps to enable monitoring on a project and get alerted to regressions.

Prerequisites​

  • An AISafe account with manager or higher role.
  • A project created for the repository or target.
  • At least one completed assessment with findings on the project, so there are proofs-of-concept to re-validate.

Step 1: Create a project​

Create a project bound to your repository or target. Monitoring works against the project's findings, so the project needs findings from a completed assessment first.

Step 2: Enable monitoring​

  1. Open the project in the AISafe dashboard.
  2. Go to the Monitoring tab or settings section.
  3. Toggle Enable monitoring.
  4. Select which findings to monitor, for example all critical and high findings.
  5. Set the check cadence (how often to re-validate proofs-of-concept).
  6. Save the configuration.

Step 3: Set up alerts​

To get notified when AISafe detects a regression:

  1. Connect Slack and enable monitoring regression notifications, or
  2. Check the dashboard, where the regression is raised as a notification.

When a regression fires, AISafe posts a Slack notification if you have configured it, and marks the finding in the dashboard.
